French Toast

Last night one of my children really wanted “pancakes” for dinner.  I already had chicken in the oven.  He kept asking and finally he grabbed a bag of bread and said, “Please, will you make me pancakes?”

Oh you mean french toast.  So, we ate chicken and “pancakes” for dinner.  All I had on hand was wheat bread but he didn’t care he loved it.

French Toast
4 eggs
1 T milk
½ t vanilla
Wisk the above ingredients together.
1 loaf of French bread sliced (or 8 slices of bread of your choice)
Dip the bread into the mixture flipping it over to cover both sides with egg mixture. Put onto a heated cast iron pan.
Sprinkle cinnamon onto toast, then flip over to continue cooking. Serve warm with butter and syrup.
